Beneficios de la espiritualidad en el lugar de trabajo

evidencia de la industria minorista

Resumen

Propósito: La literatura existente ha descubierto muchos beneficios de la espiritualidad en el lugar de trabajo. Sin embargo, crear una teoría sólida de la espiritualidad en el lugar de trabajo requiere probar sus beneficios en contextos más específicos. Probamos los efectos de la espiritualidad en el bienestar de los empleados y la relación de la compañía con los clientes en el contexto de la industria minorista en Puerto Rico.

Diseño / metodología / enfoque: Desarrollamos un modelo utilizando Modelo de Ecuaciones Estructurales mediante la técnica de Mínimos Cuadrados Parciales (SEM-PLS). Luego, utilizamos la técnica de triangulación de debriefing experto para evaluar la validez y confiabilidad de nuestra muestra de 131 empleados.

Hallazgos: Esta investigación muestra que la espiritualidad en el lugar de trabajo tiene efectos positivos en el bienestar de los empleados y la relación de la compañía con sus clientes en la industria minorista de Puerto Rico.

Originalidad: Nuestro modelo vincula la espiritualidad en el lugar de trabajo con dos variables de (Heskett et al., 1994) Profit Chain Value. Aunque nuestro tema ha sido ampliamente estudiado, la literatura en contextos específicos es necesaria para desarrollar una teoría unificada. Aportamos información sobre la espiritualidad en un contexto especifico más un modelo cuantitativo que se utilizará cuando las muestras grandes son inviables.
